VENICE CARNIVAL - FAQ

What are the dates for Carnival in 2009?
February 14 - February 24. Our primary package dates (3-nights) are Friday Feb 20, Saturday 21st and Sunday the 22nd - however other Carnival dates can be selected to fit with your travel schedule.

Can I add additional dates to my stay in Venice?
Yes. Any date combinations are permitted during the period of the Carnival. A selection of parties and activities are available over the 11 day period.

What hotels are included in the package?
A group of hotels (3 and 4 star) have been reserved in order to be included in the package to meet the various customer requests. Availability of hotels is subject to the time of your request. Your package price will be based on hotel and options selected.

Is there a base base package available?
The suggested base options include - boutique 3 star hotel, Locanda Orseolo, 3 nights with daily breakfast + historical costume + tickets to a Gondola Costume Parade and Dinner + costume walking city tour. The cost is 825 euro per person.

How do I select my costume?
While many costume designs, colors and features are ultimately available, to simplify the ordering process, we offer several costume options, which are featured here - Costume Options - Costume selection will take place after your reservation is confirmed. The cost of the costume is included in your package price.

How will I receive my costume? 
As part of your package, you will be given a private appointment time at the designated costume shop (in Venice) for fitting and final costume adjustments. After the fitting, you can take the costume with you, or choose to have it delivered to your hotel.

Can I make changes to my costume once in Venice?
Yes. With your reservation, a costume matching those on the website or one of similar quality (if your primary choice is not available) will be reserved for you. Once in Venice and during your fitting if you decide to make changes you will be allowed to do so from other options that may be available in the costume shop. Additional charges may apply.

Do I need to take the complete package?
While it is our preference complete a package for you, individual parties and costumes may be reserved separately.

Can party/dinner tickets be refunded?
No. All sales are final.

What happens if the dinner/party is cancelled or undergoes changes of date or time?
If the event is cancelled or postponed by the organizers, you will be contacted by Palio Tours. If the party or dinner you have selected is for some reason cancelled, your refund will be equal to amount of the ticket. If the party is postponed and you are not able to or do not choose to attend, you will be given the opportunity  for a refund, net of HANDLING CHARGES.

I already have my accommodations in Venice. Can I buy the costume and party segments of the package?
Yes. Please select from the Individual Tickets Options referenced above and or the Costume Options to review and make your selections.

Can you provide my airfare?
Yes. We can provide airfare from most U.S. departure cities. Please indicate your need for airfare when making your request, along with your departure city and desired dates.
