Is there a base package available?
Our Essence of Venice Carnival ticket package includes - choice of hotels, 4 days / 3 nights, daily breakfast and historical costume + tickets to a our Essence of Carnival Costume Cocktail Reception/Buffet Lunch + Gondola Tour + Costume Walk in Piazza San Marco Please view our Prices and Availability for more details.
What hotels are included in the package?
A group of hotels (3 and 4 star) have been reserved in order to be included in the package to meet the various customer requests. Availability of hotels is subject to the time of your request. For more Hotel Details >>
How do I select my costume?
While many costume designs, colors and features are ultimately available, to simplify the ordering process, we offer several costume options, which are featured here - Costume Options >> Your costume selection will take place after your reservation is confirmed. The cost of the costume is included in our 4 day / 3-night Package price.
How will I receive my costume and how long do I keep it?
As part of your package, you will be given an appointment time at the designated costume shop (in Venice) for a fitting and final costume adjustments; in our 4-day package, this is the afternoon of Thursday, February 16th. After the fitting, you can take the costume with you, or choose to have it delivered to your hotel (there is a delivery charge, 35 euro per costume). The cost of the costume rental is included in your package; it can be used for the evening of the 16th and full day and evening of the 17th. The costume is to be returned to the costume shop the morning of the 18th. If you need the costume for additional days, such as for our Venice Dreams Gala Dinner on February 18th, the extra cost is 120 euro per costume, per day.
Can I make changes to my costume once in Venice?
Yes. With your reservation, a costume matching those on the website or one of similar quality (if your primary choice is not available) will be reserved for you. Once in Venice and during your fitting if your costume does not fit properly you may select from other similar costumes in the shop.
Do I need to take the complete package?
While it is our preference to provide a complete package for you, individual parties and costumes may be reserved separately.
Can you tell us more about the optional parties?
Danieli - Cotillion Dance - Feb. 18th afternoon: Set in one of the most exclusive hotels in Venice, a few steps away from Piazza San Marco, this afternoon parrty provides a Master of Dance to provide instructions the basic steps of Venetian historical dances (Cotillion). Muscial entertainment and historical group dance activities.
Venice Dreams Dinner/Dance - Feb 18 evening: Located in the venetian palazzo on the Grand Canal, Palazzo Nani Bernardo, the evening provides a full course dinner and entertainment of music, singers and theatrical entertainment, plus historical dancing.
Mascheranda - Feb 19 evening: A grand costume ball held in the stunning Palazzo Pinsani Moretta overlooking the Grand Canal. The party offers an atmosphere of 17th century Venice, a full course dinner, open bar for the evening and is complete with a quartet of live musicians, dancers, actors and other entertainment.
What happens if the dinner/party is cancelled or changes the date or time?
If the party or dinner you have selected is for some reason cancelled, your refund will be equal to amount of the ticket. If the party is postponed and you are not able to or do not choose to attend, you will be given the opportunity for a refund, net of HANDLING CHARGES.
Is transportation provided from/to the Venice airport and our hotel?
Airport transfers can be provided to the Essence Hotel Package at addtional cost. The cost for a private water taxi for up to 3 persons with luggages is 100 euro (each way); 4 to 6 persons is 110 euro. Simply indicate you wish this service to be added when making your reservation. We will also need your flight information in order to make the pick-up and departure appointment times.
