Language Course with Food and Wine (Tuscany - Siena)
Our language programs offer not only time in the classroom, but also make use of several practical applications such as cooking classes and wine appreciation. These secessions are also, in part, conducted in Italian to increase your language skills. You learn the Italian language in an enjoyable way as you cook a variety of Italian regional dishes through a hands on cooking class and or taste local Italian wines.

The Food and Wine (Tuscany) Language program in Siena offers 15 hours of language classes with 6 nights of accommodation.
Day 1: Arrival - Orientation
Arrive to Siena to check in to your hotel accommodations. Time will be given to acquaint yourself to your accommodations and the medieval city. An afternoon orientation and meet & greet will be conducted at the hotel. Later in the evening a welcome dinner with one or several of your instructors. (D)
Day 2: Language Class - City Tour
Morning breakfast and then your cultural week begins with the first of your language classes. This initial class will last for 2 hours and it will be a first approach to the Italian language. In the afternoon, a guided walking tour in this historical medieval city, applying many of the words and phrases from the morning language secession. Later return to your accommodations and take the evening at your leisure. (B)
Day 3: Language Class - Cooking Class
Morning breakfast and then start the day with the morning language class (3 hours). During this lesson you will get the general vocabulary related to the typical Italian first courses. In the early evening more time to practice and memorize the new words as you participate in another of the cultural activities - a hands on cooking class – in Italian (and English). (B, D)
Day 4: Language Class - Cultural Application - Cooking Class
Morning breakfast and then start the day with the morning language class (2 hours). During this lesson you will get the general vocabulary related to the typical Italian second courses. Afterwards, or later in the day, a visit to local market combined with 1 hour of language application. In the early evening, again more time to practice and memorize the new words of the day's language lessons, as you participate in your second cooking class. (B, D)
Day 5: Language Class - Cultural Application
Morning breakfast and then an excursion to a local winery in the Chianti area outside of Siena. Once at the winery, you will enjoy a wine tasting and winery cellar tour and then matched with a 1 hour language secession. The day and language application will continue with a light lunch at the winery. Later after returning to Siena, a chance to further employ your newly acquired cultural knowledge as you will have a 3 hour language class. The evening is yours to relax and enjoy the satisfaction of completing your most active linguistic day of the week. (B, W, L)
Day 6: Cooking Class - Language Class
Morning breakfast and then start the day with your last cooking class during which you will prepare your own lunch of the day form first course till dessert. After lunch in the afternoon you start with your final language class (3 hours). In the evening a walking tour of the city followed by an "aperitivo" to celebrate the completion of your week of cultural language experience. (B, L)
Day 7: Departure
Morning breakfast and transfer departure to Florence (included or an additional cost to other cities) where you will be greeted and escorted by your guide for a walking tour of the Renaissance City. (B)

Base price includes accommodations for 6 nights, transfer from Florence to the hotel in Siena (transfer from other cities can also be accommodated with additional cost), transportation needed for itinerary activities, plus meals and cultural activities as indicated.
